2009 in review: Pod city of Sanjhih (or San Zhi) Taiwan demolished

San Zhi was a source of amazement and inspiration for me. I’m a fan of modernist architecture as well as abandonded decay and supposedly haunted spots. It had the whole package. The ghostly pod city was said to have been planned as a resort, but construction was halted after a large number of fatal accidents on the site. Despite fears of haunted spirits, it was torn down in 2009.
